EVENTS

Annual Installation Banquet

· Our annual banquet to celebrate and reflect the previous year. This event showcases the chambers previous year events, recognition and Member of the Year award.  Congratulations Joe Piper, Member of the Year 2007!!

 

Annual Spring Bowl-a-thon

· Bowling, Dinner, Networking, raffle prizes, Highest and lowest scorer prizes.  Proceeds from this event go towards the Gladstone Park Scholarship Program.

 

Ultimate Business Networking Event

· Over 15 chambers come together to celebrate Chamber of Commerce Week.  Members meet businesspeople from throughout the City, network, and taste local food from 20 different restaurants throughout the city.

 

Visit With the Easter Bunny

· This event is sponsored in conjunction with the Produce Center at 5820 N Milwaukee Ave.  Children receive a free photo and a little treat.  Over 90 children were in attendance.

 

Coloring Contests

· Children ages Kindergarten through 5th grade are eligible to enter.  Contest Fliers are distributed through Farnsworth Elementary, Hitch Elementary School, St. Thecla.  Contest winners receive their picture on display, a little treat and their picture in the Nadig Newspaper.  There are Easter, Halloween and Christmas Coloring Contests.

 

Mother’s Day Raffle

· Open to all mothers in the Gladstone Park and surrounding areas.  Enter to win a prize.  Please see Nadig Newspapers two weeks prior to Mother’s day for entry forms.

 

Northwest Network Open

· Chambers working together.  Five local chambers unite to sponsor an annual Golf Outing.  All proceeds benefit the local Chambers of Commerce Scholarship Programs for area students.  Note: In 2007, more than $8,000 in scholarship was awarded to local grammar School and High School students.

· Not a golfer? Spend time networking with members of 5 chambers at dinner and during our fabulous Raffle Prizes.

            

Kids Fest

· Kids Fest is co-sponsored with the Chicago Park District. Chamber members have the opportunity to promote their services at Kids Fest, which annually attracts up to 400 adults and children to Gladstone Park, 5421 N Menard Ave. 

 

Annual Scholarship Breakfast Meeting

· Presentation to Scholarship winners followed by general membership meeting.

· Breakfast, recognition, networking, and a meeting all in just an hour and a half.

 

Mayor Daley’s Clean & Green

· The Gladstone Park Chamber of Commerce participates in Mayor Daley’s Annual Clean and Green.  We concentrate our efforts on cleaning up Milwaukee Avenue and the triangular traffic island at Milwaukee and Elston.

 

Regular Monthly Member Meetings

· Chamber meetings are held the first Friday of every month at Gladstone Chiropractic at 8:00 am unless otherwise noted in the chamber newsletter.  Hear up to date information, guest speakers, upcoming events, marketing opportunities, networking, and enter to be Business of the Month.  Complimentary Coffee and pastries are provided.

 

Flag Day Ceremony

· The chamber meets at the Island at Milwaukee and Elston to pay their respects to our nation’s flag.  The Cadets from St Tars raise new flags.  The members typically go to lunch after the 15 min ceremony for networking.

 

Annual Police Recognition Lunch Presentation

· Annual recognition of Outstanding Police Officers in the 16th District Police.  We started by honoring 4 officers but due to the dedication and teamwork of the Police Officers in the 16th the number of officer recognized varies.  Networking at Breakfast is followed by recognition and a shortened chamber meeting.

· This is your opportunity to showcase your business to hundreds of local residents! 

 

Annual Day at the Races

· Members test their luck at Arlington Race Track.
